CSP Sorting

Ceramic, Stones and Porcelain, mostly referred to as CSP or KSP in the glass recycling business, is an important part of the process. Removal of the CSP or KSP to levels under 50 ppm (part per million) is necessary and most often mandatory by the glass plants utilizing the recycled material.

Leaving in CSP above 50 ppm can result in weak bottles and bad castings. Especially on cast flat glass, lines and streaks are evident when the CSP levels are high. Many of the major glass companies now have even tougher regulations for the recycled cullet to level of 25 ppm or less. Mogensen can guarantee CSP level below 25 ppm as part of a MikroSort installation.

Our models AX, AL, AF and the newest AK model MikroSort can accomplish the requirements of CSP removal to under 25 ppm and in addition at the same time, metal detection and rejection. Since Mogensen, Allgaier and Gosag also manufacture Dryers, Screeners, and Densimetric Tables, we can supply complete systems without needing to depend on other vendors for the right equipment.
